Rules Are Rules — a short screenplay

When a law-abiding teenager breaks one of society’s oldest rules, he discovers that his watch doesn’t actually answer to him.

Last time we talked about NYC Midnight’s short screenplay writing contest:

“Last year I entered the NYC Midnight Short Screenplay ContestWhy? I wanted a challenge, and I wanted to try something new.

I am once again signing up for this contest! Our first challenge releases this Friday at midnight (EST). I can not wait to see how I do this year and see how much I’ve improved.”

  1. I enjoyed the screenplay. Interesting premise and nice layout on the formatting. Liked the directives (e.g., montage). You might more of the camera shots (e.g., aerial shot of drive-in; close up of mom with watch). Thanks for sharing!
