No excuses — What’s new this year?

Happy New Year (and one month)!

I haven’t written much in quite some time, mostly due to being super busy. But I’m still here, and I’m going to get back on track!

You read that right. I plan to get back to my writing so much so that you will be able to read my posts again! Which of course means that I’ll be pushing myself to complete one every so often.

If only we could all live by this… including me…

A quick update:

Before I tell you what you can expect from this blog in the future, let me share what I’ve been up to since my last post…

Yes, I’m still working on the third round of revisions for my novel. I know… I know… Aren’t you done with that, yet? you ask. I would love to say yes, but I’m trying to get the ending just right.

I’m teaching two grade levels this year: 7th grade writing (what I normally teach) and English II (Honors and regular). I’ve been so busy planning and preparing for them that I haven’t made a whole lot of time for much else.

My kiddos are in 3rd grade (Billy) and kindergarten (Mikhael) this year. They are loving (almost) every minute of school, and Mikhael is even reading already!

This is the first book Mikhael ever read to me! He was so excited to share his learning, and he didn’t stumble on any words.

Blogging plans for the future:

My plan is to update this blog more than I have recently. I want to offer you a variety of posts that you’ll hopefully enjoy. If there’s anything you’re specifically hoping for, let me know!

Comments

All in all, I can’t promise that I’ll have no excuses, but I will certainly try to get better at this regular blogging task! I can’t wait to hear from you again! What are you most looking forward to? What have you been up to? I’d love to hear your comments below!

  1. That sounds like a great plan for your blog. I’m trying to bring more of my writing onto my blog. And I’m going to post more personal stuff on it as well. By personal, I mean things that introduce readers to another side of me. And through some advice, I’m going to try to adhere to a more set schedule as far as when I post. We’ll see how it goes.
